Transition from school to university
School and university life are two different thing but what makes it
different?
1. Time
In school you will spend about an hour for a class in 180 days for a
year while you will only spend about 3 hours a week for university. This means
that you will have fewer class in university which makes us have more time to
study on our own.
2. Reminder
It is common for teacher in school to give you reminders about due dates
and examination but not in university. You’ll be no longer pampered with that
information so therefore you should be alert to any reminders to avoid
forgetting something important.
3. Class System
You will have fewer daily assignments than school but do not let that
makes you become a lazy person. There will also have more group assignments in
which participation affects the grade. There will be no extensions on due dates
but you can try to talk to your lecturer about extension nicely.
Tips to survive university.
1. Make full use of ‘Calendar’
and ‘Keep’ apps in phone to keep track of weekly schedule, classes, due dates
and examination.
